A CALL TO COMMUNITY
Wesleyan Circle

Meets 3rd Monday at 9:30 a.m.
in the church conference room
This is a circle of lively, inclusive and dedicated Christian women.
To further their knowledge of global issues they enthusiastically support the UMW Reading Program. They always send a delegation to UMW district, conference and national meetings. They also assemble flood buckets, birthing kits, etc. for UMCOR, collect used greeting cards to be repurposed at St. Jude's Children's Ranch and are continual supporters of Grace Place Women's Prison Ministry.
Locally, they provide year round activities and support for the Wesley at Murray housing facility, feed the volunteers at Angel's Clinic and students at Wesley Foundation, provide support for the Backpacks program at Needline, participate in the Prayer Shawl ministry and provide a team for the Community Kitchen.
They remember their special friends and shut-ins year round in special ways including honorariums to Reelfoot Rural Ministries. In order to support these and other projects, the ladies continually make and sell homemade pickles and First United Methodist Church insignia caps. They love the fact that they set aside 30 minutes at the beginning of each meeting for loving supportive fellowship.
They truly have a relationship that exemplifies sincere Christian values and invite anyone to join them.
Karen Guthrie and Carol Wimberley are the 2017 Circle Leaders.
